Overview
The government records we used for the curriculum are mostly from NYC Municipal Archives. The New York City Works Progress Administration Federal Writers' Project Collection provides a large amount of documented American experience, and can serve as a precious resource for teaching American history and culture. We were able to print the selected manuscripts from the microfilm, and then scan them into the computer. Mayor's Office provides us with other government records such as survey reports and minutes of meetings. We also used materials from newspapers, and records of interviews.
